About the Course
In this course students will learn about logic systems and concepts of infinity. Notions such as limits and convergence are fundamental to the study of calculus and will be studied in a variety of contexts. Students will learn how to write proofs and construct logical arguments.
Topics include: propositional logic, axiom systems, rules of inference, deductive process, set theory, induction, contradiction, proofs, convergence, limits, concepts of infinity, infinite sequences and series, periodic decimal fractions, approximation of areas by rectangles, quadrature, continued fractions.
